Patron Saint of Pregnancy, Childbirth & Mothers
This beautiful antique replica of Saint Gerard is made of bronze clay and fired in my studio. This delicate piece has the most beautiful baroque style finish. St Gerard is the Patron saint of pregnancy, expectant mothers & childbirth. It is paired with a non tarnish matte gold chain and finished off with a lobster clasp. This is a new addition to the Crown of Grace collection by special request. P It is a petite design and would be perfect for a young mother to. be.
To gauge the size and proportions of this design, see the image of the necklace beside a quarter in the listing photos. A quarter is approximately 1” in diameter for reference.
Each antique medal in my Crown of Grace collection was lovingly searched for according to it’s age, shape, subject matter, and rarity. Many of the medals used during my hand replicating process are over a century old. I reproduce each piece by making a mold, hand pressing small batch bronze clay into the mold, drying, and kiln firing at 1420 degrees in a double carbon process. Each medal is hand wire brushed to give them a matte gold base and polished on the high relief areas to give them a luxurious Baroque light gold finish.
The chains that I use in my designs are hand selected to compliment the medals. They have a double layer of non tarnish matte gold finish for durability and tarnish resistance. In addition, they are nickel, cadmium, & lead free.

St Gerard is called the patron saint of expectant mothers, it should be noted that his prayers and blessings once saved the lives of a mother dying in childbirth, along with her baby. Over the centuries countless women have prayed to St. Gerard for help with pregnancies.
Obedience is hard. For someone to have perfect obedience seems nigh impossible and quite frankly, completely undesirable. Obedience is a sacrifice of our will to another person’s will. Typically people don’t like to sacrifice their will to another, and when they see someone who constantly does they think something must be wrong with them. What’s so amazing about St. Gerard is that he had perfect obedience to God’s will. He willingly sacrificed his will to God’s in order to do God’s work. This sacrifice was a great act of faith and love, which Gerard showed all throughout his life.
